Syvota is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful regions of Greece. Visitors can meet here unique nature sites with rare beauty, that many compares with the Fjords or the Caribbean. The beaches with crystal clear waters, the lush hills and the three islets off the village – Agios Nikolaos, Mavro Oros, Mourtmeno – and the islet opposite the beach of Agia Paraskevi, offer endless relaxation while watching the green blue landscape. Syvota is just 24 km from Igoumenitsa, opposite Corfu and Paxos islands.
Pisina – On the islet of Mourtos lies the most famous beach of the area, the exotic “Pisina”, which means pool and is laid almost opposite of Sivota. Its waters are so turquoise and emerald and so transparent that the small boats seem to float as their shadow falls to the seabed. The beach is sandy with fine pebbles. You can reach the beach by boat, with which you can choose to go to the Pisina beach exclusively, or to tour around to the islands and visit the Cave of Agios Nikolaos. You can also rent your own boat from the port of Syvota and tour around the islands by yourself and stop over to the place of your interest.
Bella Vraka – The very famous beach of “Bela Vraka” is also very close to Syvota. You can reach the beach by car or by boat. If you choose to go by car, you should park the car at the end of the street and then walk a short distance, firstly to the land and then to the shallow water that joins the island of Mourtemeno with the beach and then enjoy the great beach. Bela Vraka is essentially … two opposite beaches, separated by a narrow strip of light blue waters. The depth between the two beaches is low and knee high.
Agia Paraskevi – It is a picturesque pebbly beach amidst a lush landscape that took its name from the church of Agia Paraskevi on its left. It is clean and beautiful, while in the middle of it there is a small islet which you can also reach by swimming. It is organized and easy to reach by car.
Mega Drafi Beach – Mega Drafi is a special beach divided into three parts. Quiet and easily accessible beach nearby Syvota, between the beaches of Mikri Ammos and Agia Paraskevi with clear blue waters. Mainly it is visited by young people and usually it is not much crowded. The access to the first part of the beach is easy and this part is organized, as offers sun beds and umbrellas for rent and the small canteen located next to the beach offers drinks and light meals or snacks. The second part is reached either by walking down a path under the street or by swimming for those who enjoy swimming from beach to beach. The access to the third part is possible only by boat or by swimming from the first to the second and finally to the third part.
Mikri Ammos / Megali Ammos– Finally, very famous beaches are Mikri and Megali Ammos – translated as Small and Big Sand, the one next to the other, with Mikri Ammos to gain the best impressions. It is a beautiful beach, not as small as its name declares, it is organized as there is a beach bar next to it. Parking there is available.
Acheron river -A visit to the river Acheron is a unique experience as it is a place of unparalleled natural beauty that thrills you. If you wish to get in touch with nature and enjoy walking and hiking, crossing the canyon enjoying the dew offered by the frozen, crystal clear waters of the river, beneath the shade of perennial plane trees, reaching the springs of the river, this will be the ideal unforgettable choice for your vacation. The area also offers activities such as rafting and kayak.
Parga – Parga is one of the most beautiful and scenery places in Greece. At first you will feel that you are magically being moved on to one of the most picturesque islands of the Ionian. Parga and Syvota are two places that complement each other and due to the short distance between them many visitors combine their visit to both places. Parga is built escalately and its buildings have an ideal combination of colors. Finally, the unmemorable feeling that you are on an island more than a seaside town, will be given to you by the small, narrow streets within the town of Parga, full of shops, cafes and taverns.
Nearby there are places of interest with natural beauty, history monuments and scenery sights such as Zalongo, Necromanteion, Zagorohoria, the Vikos Valley, as well as visitors have the opportunity to visit beautiful Paxos islands with boat day trips, departing from Syvota and Parga.
